History of My Board Gaming
From a very young age, I was fascinated with board games. Sadly, I quickly outgrew the traditional roster of relatively simple-minded American games. What I didn't know -nor parents and friends- was that this was merely a sign that I was ready for the level of complexity brought on by European-style games. I did learn to play chess, but it always felt too cold and raw to me, like it was missing something to truly capture my imagination and compell me. For many years as a teenager, the only thing I knew that merged high-intensity strategy with imaginary setting was Magic the Gathering, which engrossed me for a long time. It may have taken until my mid-twenties for me to finally discover these European board games, but it was well worth the wait. The Gaming Club of Maryland branch in Silver Spring was my weekly sanctuary for several years.

My Favourite Board Games
The shrine below pays hommage to my favourite board games, most of which I now own. Some of them I love because I got pretty good at them, while others are just fascinating despite the fact that I'm hopeless at them. However, I have no shame in openly challenging anyone to try to beat me at St-Petersburg.
Below that is a list of board games I've designed myself.

Diplodocus Board Games
In 2005, then on the wings of a Euro-style board gaming binge, I revived the Diplodocus franchise by starting a line of board games (something I'd also dabbled in as a young child).
Again, few of them ever got fully play-tested and tweaked to perfection, but it remains a work in progress. Below is a list and pictures of games I've designed since then.
